WATER STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM
As natural rubber processors, we rely on and require large quantities of water to operate. Managing water in a sustainable way is therefore critical to our business.
Water is used for cleaning of raw rubber materials, facilities, equipment and provision of a clean work environment for our employees.
Efficient water management practices are fundamental to the business continuity since every drop of water counts.
We introduce strategic water saving practices to minimize water usage and loss as well as adopt 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Concept wherever possible to conserve this important resource.

In an era of rising global temperatures caused by the effect in increased GHG emissions, we are aware of our duty and responsibility to minimise our carbon footprint across our value chain.
We implement various electricity saving initiatives as part of our energy management programs.
We encourage the use of 5-Star Energy Rated eletrical appliances in our factory to enhance energy efficiency. Existing fluorescent lamps are being substituted with energy saving LED lamps. Inverters for energy saving are also being installed at the certain machineries to achieve higher energy efficiency.
We are constantly finding practicable ways to further reduce and optimise the carbon footprint.

WASTE MANAGEMENT
COMPLIANCE
Waste water, maladour, scheduled and non-scheduled wastes are the main wastes resulted from our manufacturing activites. The wastes are treated properly to prevent the pollution to the environment.
The waste water is treated by the Waste Water Treatment Plant. The treated waste water is recycled and reused in the factory to reduce the water consumption.
Water Scrubber Systems are installed to remove the malador produced during the rubber drying process. No chemicals are used for the operations of Water Scrubber System.
Scheduled and non-scheduled wastes are handled in accordance with the local legislative requirements. Reducing waste is one of our top priorities wherever possible along our value chain.

MONITORING
To ensure continued in optimum operating conditions, we carry out performance monitoring on our environmental facilities.
The performance of our environmental facilities are operated and monitored by the competent persons who are granted by the relevant authorities.
The competence persons are regularly trained with necessary technical knowledge and kept abreast on latest environmental issues and best industry practices.
Our Effluent Testing Laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 Standard. It gives support to the performance monitoring of our Effluent Treatment Plant.
